ASIAN TOUR HEADS BACK TO HO TRAM
Ho Tram Players Championship at The Bluffs scheduled for December 2018
HO TRAM, Vietnam (Sept. 21, 2017) — Officials at The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip have announced that the Asian Tour will return to Vietnam’s most acclaimed golf facility in 2018 and 2019.
The Ho Tram Players Championship will take place Dec. 6-9 next year, and with a follow up event to be scheduled in 2019
In 2015, the links-style layout on Vietnam’s south-central coast staged the Ho Tram Open, which was won by reigning Masters Champion Sergio Garcia and voted ‘Event of the Year’ by Asian Tour members.
“The Ho Tram Open was a huge success,” said Michael Kelly, Executive Chairman and CEO of Asian Coast Development Ltd. (ACDL), developer of the Ho Tram Strip. “It’s time for some of the world’s best golfers to come back to Ho Tram, and for us to once again show the world how spectacular The Bluffs and the country of Vietnam are.”
Since opening in 2014, the spectacular Greg Norman design has earned a number of major accolades, including ‘World’s Best New Golf Course’ at the 2015 World Golf Awards.
The Bluffs was also the only course in Vietnam to make Golf Digest USA’s 2016-2017 ranking of the ‘100 Greatest Golf Courses in the World.’
The Bluffs is located less than two hours by car from Ho Chi Minh City and is part of the blossoming Ho Tram Strip, a multi-billion-dollar integrated resort complex that also includes the 541-room The Grand Ho Tram Strip.
A second hotel tower at The Grand is currently under construction. When finished, it will be known as the Beach Club, and bolster the development’s inventory of luxury hotel rooms by 560.
The Ho Tram Strip will also be site of a 244-key oceanfront condotel and villa project called Kahuna Ho Tram Strip, which is scheduled to break ground later this year.
