Avnet Unveils Pioneering E-Mobility and Green Energy Solutions in Vietnam
Global technology distributor and solutions provider Avnet (NASDAQ: AVT) has announced its upcoming “Avnet Green Days: Evolving e-mobility through Sustainable Energy Solutions” conferences at JW Marriott Hotel in Hanoi on October 24 and at Sheraton Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on October 27.
With a firm focus on Vietnam’s burgeoning Electric Vehicle (EV) industry, the events are set to showcase Avnet’s profound commitment to driving the development and sustainability of e-mobility and green energy solutions in Vietnam.
This comes at a time of remarkable growth in the nation’s EV market, with recent data from BMI Research predicting a staggering 115% growth in EV sales this year alone, representing 13.6% of all vehicles sold. Furthermore, BMI Research forecasts a continuous year-on-year growth rate of 25.8% between 2023 and 2032, underscoring the urgency and importance of advancing sustainable charging and transportation solutions.
“Vietnam – and indeed the entire world – are at a pivotal juncture in embracing sustainable transportation and energy solutions, and Avnet is at the forefront of this revolution,” said Tan Aik Hoon, Regional President, South Asia, Korea, and Avnet United, emphasizing the company’s dedication to these crucial areas.
Vietnam has emerged as a key player in this transition to electric mobility. Earlier this year, the country witnessed the launch of GSM, the first company specialized in providing passenger transportation services entirely by electric vehicles, setting the stage for a revolution in urban mobility. The Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association predicts that Vietnam will reach one million EVs on its roads by around 2028, and a staggering 3.5 million by 2040, further highlighting the region’s commitment to sustainable transportation.
“We are proud to contribute to and lead in the evolution of e-mobility in Vietnam through sustainable energy solutions. The growth potential is impressive, our commitment to the development of the industry here is unwavering, and our mission is clear: together with our suppliers, we want to empower the country’s EV market with innovative, safe, and cost-effective solutions that help overcome the major barriers to EV adoption and drive Vietnam’s take-up forward.”
Avnet Green Days will bring together over 250 industry experts, engineers, product managers, C-level executives, and heads of R&D from diverse sectors, offering a unique platform for attendees to explore cutting-edge e-mobility and green energy solutions that are pivotal in shaping the future of transportation and energy consumption. The agenda will feature an impressive line-up of keynote speakers and thought leaders from VinFast, MET EV, Danang University of Science and industry partners, who will share insights and perspectives on the latest trends and technologies in e-mobility and green energy.
The event will feature VF 9 – VinFast’s premium E-SUV model, and MET EV’s powerful two-wheelers, KAGO and VEO, as well as an extensive showcase of e-mobility solutions all aimed at revolutionizing energy consumption and distribution brought by Avnet’s partners, including:
