Bringing Gold Within Your Reach
California launches a series of 24-karat challenges to celebrate 15 years of success
Ho Chi Minh City, 22 October 2022 – California Fitness is celebrating its 15th anniversary by launching a new membership – that cannot be bought. The new Iconic Gold Card is made of 24 karat gold and worth over 170 million VND. To get it, gold-seekers must take part in a series of challenges and compete for one. There are only seven memberships available, and competition kicks off this weekend in Ho Chi Minh City at the group’s Landmark 81 club in Binh Thanh.
The ‘Out of Reach’ challenge will pit a field of over 400 competitors in a leap-for-gold challenge in the club’s pool, with a suspended card getting further and further away from the launch pad until just one competitor is able to snag the ultimate prize – a one-year ICONIC Gold membership.
The star-studded event will see actor Jay Quan, actress Chung Huyen Thanh, model Marcus, model Cu Ngoc Quy, Tiktoker Tri Phan and beauty blogger Ha My also trying their luck over the pool-of-fortune, vying for the ultimate in Cali cards – each valued at over 170 million dong and representing a one year top-tier membership which includes VIP access to all clubs nationwide and a host of other benefits and inclusions unavailable to any other membership level.
“Landmark 81 is the city’s highest building – the ideal location for our highest ever membership tier,” said Cali’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Dane Fort. “If there is one lesson that has emerged from our 15 years here, it’s that life’s most rewarding achievements need to be earned. Whether it’s a dream body or a successful business – you have to earn it. There are no shortcuts. Our ICONIC Gold membership typifies this – there is simply no other way to get this membership tier than to be the absolute best in one of our challenges.”
The ‘Out of Reach’ contest is the first of a series of four challenges, each of which will offer a chance to win an ICONIC Gold membership card, with the gold rush to continue at events in Hanoi, Danang, and a final Ho Chi Minh City round in the month ahead. Registration for each is completely free, however spaces are limited, so gold-prospectors best sign-up fast for the challenge nearest them at https://fit.cali.vn/15years-challenge/.
Three additional gold cards will be on offer via lucky draw to new and existing Cali members signing new contracts for membership and personal training packages. Here’s the link to join: https://fit.cali.vn/15years-luckydraw/
The four challenges cap off a momentous 15th year of operations for the fitness pioneer. Dubbed “15 Years of Sexy”, 2022 has seen the group rebound strongly from the challenges of Covid, and set about fulfilling its mission of changing the lives of all 100 million people in Vietnam.
Headlined by its Guinness World Record for Body Transformations, Cali has gone from strength to strength throughout ‘22, rolling out a series of contests and competitions all aimed to make fitness and wellness more fun and more accessible to more people in Vietnam. These have included the Sunrise Yoga Series, which crowned its victors earlier this month; the Knockout challenge for kickboxing aficionados; and the 26th running of its storied California Transformation Challenge, which has seen more than 82,000 people in Vietnam transform their bodies and their lives since its first running in 2007.
“The past few years brought much uncertainty to a growing community of fitness lovers. We have witnessed the failure of apps in group classes and personal training. Some fitness chains seem to focus more on property than member satisfaction, and others who have been in the market for nearly a decade are rumored to be closing clubs at present,” said Fort. “Yet through it all, California has persisted, by focusing on building a community of amazing members, bringing new and cool programs and innovations to Vietnam and creating amazing experiences. That’s how we are able to be there for our quarter-million members around Vietnam.”
“Every day over 30,000 people check in to our clubs all around Vietnam,” Fort continued. “We have changed the lives of hundreds-of-thousands of people nationwide, and so while we are celebrating a 15 year history, I still feel like we are just getting started. We have so much left to achieve, so many more lives to touch, and so much more that we can do to propel Vietnam’s wellness revolution forward.”
“I think I speak for us all when I say: we can’t wait!”
