900 million VND worth of Body Transformation Challenge scholarships up for grabs

HCMC, Vietnam, 09 June 2020: California Fitness & Yoga today announced that it will be offering ten Body Transformation Challenge scholarships to people around Vietnam in need of assistance with their weight.

 

The packages – each valued at 90 million VND – will see participants paired with a personal trainer in their home city, and offered six months unlimited access to their nearest California Fitness & Yoga club, along with up-to-daily sessions and coaching with their PT.

 

The Body Transformation Challenge – now into its 24th iteration – has helped thousands of Vietnamese shape-up, and is the fitness group’s largest bi-annual self-improvement event.

 

This is the first time that California has offered scholarships to its flagship program.

 

“California Fitness & Yoga is at the forefront of Vietnam’s wellness revolution.  We have been changing lives here for 13 years, and our commitment to the improvement of people’s lives in Vietnam is unwavering,” said the group’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Dane Fort.

 

“This year, in the wake of Corona, we have taken a singular focus on the country’s growing obesity problem, which not only carried a heightened risk profile for Covid, but also is a leading cause of late-onset diabetes, and responsible for ongoing issues with body image, self-esteem and even depression for overweight people.”

 

“We’re not looking to just transform bodies.  We are looking to transform lives,” Mr Fort said.

 

The eight-week challenge kicks off with a weigh-in at the end of June, a mid-point weigh-in, and a final weigh-in at the event’s conclusion. Using the InBody measurement system, contestants nationwide will vie for approximately 1 billion VND in prizes in the prestigious event.

 

Interested entrants should email btc@cfyc.com.vn between 10 – 30 June with a photograph of themselves along with a description in 100 words or less of how a Body Transformation would change their lives. Our judges will then choose the ten contestants who would benefit most from our program.

 

Entrants must be aged 18 or over and be located in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Danang, Nha Trang, Vung Tau or Can Tho.
