Canon kicks off Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2018
Ho Chi Minh City, 1 August 2018 – Canon Marketing Vietnam today announced that it will once again be the primary sponsor of the seventh annual Vietnam Heritage Photo Award. The contest, organized by Vietnam Heritage magazine under the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association.
The contest this year marks the 73rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s signing of Decree No. 65/SL on 23 November 1945, the first decree in the national dedicated to the preservation of national cultural heritage.
Aimed at supporting, discovering and sharing the country’s natural and cultural heritage, the contest seeks out art that tells stories of the heritage of Vietnam in order to share the nation’s natural and cultural beauty.
In addition to sponsoring major prize, Canon will be responsible for the printing of all submissions from photographers for both judging and exhibition.

In addition to traditional themes as Nature, Tangible Culture, Intangible Culture and Life, Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2018 also adds a new theme: “Vietnamese Ao Dai” a theme set to inspire contestants to create new and impressive works.
All Vietnamese citizens and foreigners are entitled to participate in the contest.
The deadline of submission (24:00 on 30 September 2018), the organizer will select 18 of the 100 best works to receive main awards, including 12 Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards and 6 Vietnam Heritage Junior Photo Awards which targets candidates under the age of 23. These 100 works will be exhibited in HCMC, Danang, Hanoi and shown online.
Along with the main photo contest, the Miniquiz online contest seeks to discover Vietnamese Heritage will be held on Facebook at the same time from August last until end of November 2018. Questions will be posted on official fanpages of Canon, Vietnam Heritage and Vietjet Air.
