DHL Express, DHL Supply Chain and DHL Global Forwarding take top 10 positions in the inaugural Vietnam Best Workplaces™ list
DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, has been ranked the No. 1 Best Workplace in Vietnam™ in 2022 by Great Place to Work® Institute, in the Large & Medium category. Two other business divisions of the Deutsche Post DHL Group – DHL Supply Chain and DHL Global Forwarding also take up #6 and #9 position respectively in the same category.
The methodology behind the Great Place to Work® ranking is highly rigorous where the firm gathers and evaluates employee feedback and recognizes companies that have built high-trust, high-performance cultures.
Bernardo Bautista, General Director and Country Manager, DHL Express Vietnam said, “Being certified as a Great Place to Work® is extremely important and meaningful to us. It allows us to show externally our workplace culture here, and that our quest for ‘Excellence, Simply Delivered’ is only possible due to our highly motivated teams. We believe in trusting and empowering our people so that working at DHL Express can be both challenging and highly rewarding.”
Across the region and in Vietnam, DHL Express is focused on making sure its employees are motivated to deliver their best performance and still have a positive working experience. The company has invested in leadership development and talent growth programs – including running the Certified International Specialist (CIS) and Certified International Manager (CIM) over the last decade. These programs cover knowledge, culture and leadership training so that employees are able to do their job competently and confidently.
DHL Supply Chain, the global leader in supply chain management and third-party logistics, empowers employees growth with continuous investments in talent development and retention. Initiatives such as intensive development programs prepare young potential graduates and internal high potential team leaders to be the next-generation leaders and Certified Trainings equip employees with essential functional and business skills. Employees’ physical and mental health and well-being are equally important to the organization, supported by various engagement activities held throughout the year.
Drew Duncan, Managing Director of DHL Supply Chain Vietnam said, “We’re incredibly grateful to be re-certified as a Great Place to Work and awarded the 6th best workplace in Vietnam. Most recently, it also introduced a flexible work arrangement and redesigned office spaces with a mixture of private and common spaces, to enhance employees’ experience and efficiency in today’s hybrid workforce.
To determine the 2022 Vietnam’s Best Workplaces, Great Place to Work®️ analyzed confidential survey feedback from over 20,000 employees across different industries in Vietnam. Employees responded to over 60 survey questions on their experience at the organization.
A significant part of the evaluation (85%) looks at what employees say about their experiences of trust and ability to reach their full human potential at the organization, regardless of their role or title. Great Place to Work®️ analyzes these experiences relative to each organization’s size, workforce make up, and what’s typical in their industry. The remaining 15% assesses employees’ daily experiences in areas of innovation, company’s values, and the effectiveness of their leaders.
