IHG Hotels & Resorts mixing it up for Negroni Week with Campari

IHG Hotels & Resorts, in conjunction with Campari, today announced its nationwide participation in this year’s Negroni Week.  This year’s Negroni Week marks a decade of celebrations and giving back Raise a glass and toast to more from 12 September 2022 at IHG bars in Vietnam.

Across the course of Negroni Week, bars from IHG hotels at five of Vietnam’s iconic locales will be running a wide array of events and promotions from barefoot barbecues to DJ performances. Guests are invited to imbibe on the flair and flavours with IHG hotels’ resident mixologists showcasing their own take on the iconic drink. Here is a list of events and promotions:

For the month of September, InterContinental Hanoi Westlake will be offering Negroni-inspired menus including a special dessert, ‘Negroni Nature’ at Milan Restaurant. Fronted by Campari’s brand ambassador, Toan My, an exclusive celebratory event will be held on 16 September featuring ‘live’ entertainment and custom Negroni cocktails. Toan My will also share the stage in a choreographed performance with a saxophonist. In celebration of a decade of Negroni Week, a pop up ‘Table 10’ experience will also be launched with Campari at Sunset Bar

Across town, the celebrations also run all September 2022. At InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 savour four signature Negroni cocktails and look out for a guestshift where guests will be invited to experience the Negroni Trolley Service

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort will see Negroni Rituals performed in its Club Lounge, with a custom menu reflecting the stunning surrounds of the property – Heaven, Sky, Earth and Sea.   The resort will further run pairings of Italian tapas and DJs performing at the Long Bar.  The weekend will see a free-flow Negroni Classic Cocktail Party, while a Royal Negroni Sunday Brunch will be served on 18 September to end the weekend on a high note.

The southern paradise of Phu Quoc will also join the party, with the InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort hosting a DJ event at its stunning INK 360 rooftop bar kicking off a month of Negroni cocktail promotions from 13 September to 12 October 2022.  Meanwhile, over at Fu Bar in Regent Phu Quoc, itsresident Mixologist has created a perfectly crafted sip from a smoked to sparkling Negronis, served in a champagne flute, no less from now till 19 September.

Running from 12-19 September, Negroni Week celebrates a classic cocktail with over a century of history.  Born in Florence where patron Count Camillo Negroni ordered an Americano cocktail, but requested his bar-tender to mix-it-up a little, adding gin rather than soda – and from this a legend was born.
