Intel Officially Introduces 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors in Vietnam

Intel Vietnam officially launched the 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors at the Intel Solutions Day event held at the National Conference Center in Hanoi. Through the event, Intel brought solutions to boost the performance of data centers with energy saving, security, and new features integrated with artificial intelligence (AI).
The 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors mark Intel’s change to start the journey back to the leading position in the data center field and make its mark in many other areas. Intel® Xeon® 4th Gen processors help provide solutions, and systems with appropriate performance, optimize power management to help businesses solve computing challenges, achieve sustainability goals, and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
Prioritizing Applications and Benefits from Fully Integrated Accelerators
Building on decades of data center, network and intelligent edge innovation and leadership, new 4th Gen Xeon processors deliver leading performance with the most built-in accelerators of any CPU in the world to tackle customers’ most important computing challenges across AI, analytics, networking, security, storage and HPC.
Intel integrates additional accelerators to cater to specific applications, such as Intel® Quick Assist Technology for accelerating data encryption and compression/decompression and Intel® Dynamic Load Balancer to optimize thread and accelerator distribution for particular applications, resulting in superior performance, energy savings and lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Compared to previous generations, the Intel® Xeon® Scalable 4th generation delivers over 2.9 times higher performance per watt on designated applications, saving up to 70 watts per CPU in optimized performance mode with minimal performance loss on specific workloads, reducing TCO by 52% to 66%.
Building and Deploying AI Everywhere
With the emergence of Generative AI, businesses are keen on applying AI to enhance work efficiency and achieve better business outcomes. The Intel® Xeon® Scalable 4th generation can support businesses running any current AI applications.
Integration of the Intel® Advanced Matrix Extension (Intel® AMX) accelerator enables Intel® Xeon® Scalable 4th generation processors to achieve real-time training and inference performance on PyTorch framework over ten times faster. This opens up new potential for superior training and inference performance across various AI applications.
Intel provides an AI toolkit that programmers can choose to enhance productivity and shorten AI development time. This toolkit has proven effective with over 400 AI machine learning and deep learning models across various business segments.
Sustainable Development
The Intel® Xeon® Scalable 4th generation processors offer power savings at the platform level, reducing the need for separate accelerators and helping businesses achieve sustainable development goals through complete accelerator integration.
The Power Optimized Mode can save 20% of power consumption with minimal impact on performance on designated applications. Improvements in air and liquid cooling significantly reduce total data center energy consumption. During the production of the Intel® Xeon® Scalable 4th generation, over 90% of the electricity is sourced from renewable energy in Intel’s modernized water-saving facilities.
Network Connectivity
The Intel® Xeon® Scalable 4th generation processors are optimized for high-performance, low-latency connectivity and edge cloud applications. These processors are a critical part of the foundation driving a more software-defined future for industries ranging from telecommunications and retail to manufacturing and smart cities.
For 5G core workloads, built-in accelerators help increase throughput and decrease latency, while advances in power management enhance both the responsiveness and the efficiency of the platform. And, when compared to previous generations, 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable delivers up to twice the virtualized radio access network (vRAN) capacity without increasing power consumption. This enables communications service providers to double the performance-per-watt to meet their critical performance, scaling and energy efficiency needs.
Most Feature-Rich and Secure Xeon Platform Yet
At the foundation of it all is security. With 4th Gen Xeon, Intel is delivering the most comprehensive confidential computing portfolio of any data center silicon provider in the industry, enhancing data security, regulatory compliance, and data sovereignty.
Intel remains the only silicon provider to offer application isolation for data center computing with Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX), which provides today’s smallest attack surface for confidential computing in private, public, and cloud-to-edge environments. Additionally, Intel’s new virtual-machine (VM) isolation technology, Intel® Trust Domain Extensions (Intel® TDX), is ideal for porting existing applications into a confidential environment and will debut with Microsoft Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Google Cloud, and IBM Cloud.
