U.S. Ambassador Presents Awards to AmCham Scholars
United States Ambassador Daniel J. Kritenbrink joined AmCham Chairman Michael Kelly and other AmCham leaders in presenting awards to the newest group of AmCham Scholars on Saturday morning.
Final-year students from 11 universities in Hanoi received the awards as part of AmCham’s signature CSR program. The AmCham Scholars Program started nine years ago to recognize outstanding final-year undergraduate students in Hanoi who demonstrate leadership through academic performance, community involvement, extracurricular activities, and possess good English-language skills. The purpose of the program is to help our members find high-quality future employees and to demonstrate AmCham’s long-term commitment to Vietnam and its young people.
Since last September, hundreds of students from Hanoi’s best universities have been competing to become AmCham Scholars. After submitting a profile video on YouTube, completing a 30-question written application, and taking an Englishlanguage exam, the top 60 applicants participated in interviews with the AmCham Scholars Selection Committee.
