VIETNAM HERITAGE PHOTO AWARDS – CREATIVE VIEWS ON VIETNAM’S HERITAGE
After 2-month organizing, the contest held by the Việt Nam Heritage Magazine and Canon Marketing Vietnam officially ended with the closing and award ceremony at Winsor Plaza.
Of 3,479 submissions (including single-photo and series-photo), 100 photos from 66 photographers from many cities and provinces continued sharing the nature, life’s wonderful moments via the themes of Nature, culture and life on/with the rivers. Specially, in this season, there were many participants coming from HCM City (7 candidates), Hanoi (7 candidates), Binh Thuan (5 candidates), Thua Thien – Hue (4 candidates).
“The participants of this year’s competition stuck with the content of the organizer. They delivered the expression in form of eye-catching, showing the elaborate, smooth and professional photographic style. This made the quality of the competition more and more affirming and became a playground that attracts much interest from local and international photography community,” photographer Hoang Trung Thuy, head of the judging panel, commented.
There will be 16 prizes: 3 first prizes: 1 camera EOS 700D Kit 18-55mm, 1 printer PIXMA TS8070/ each prize; 3 second prizes: 1 camera EOS 700D Kit 18-55mm/ each prize; 3 third prizes: 1 camera PIXMA IX6770/ each prize, 7 consolation prizes: 1 printer PIXMA IP2770/ each prize or travel, hotel voucher.
At the same time with the closing ceremony of Vietnam Heritage Photo Contest 2017, the 100 best photos of the Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards will take place at Van Ho Exhibition Center in Hanoi from Nov 21 to Nov 23.

On the sidelines of the main contest from middle Jul to Nov, Canon also organized a weekly quiz in order to learn about Vietnam heritage on Vietnam Heritage Magazine’s Facebook page.
Canon, the main sponsor of the Vietnam Heritage Photo Contest, sponsors the entire award for the contest, and being responsible for printing all high quality and large scale images for the exhibition valued at VND200 million.
Through the Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2017, Canon continues to call for the attention of the local and international communities to share Vietnam’s cultural and natural heritage values; searching for stories, works in pictures supposing to propagate Vietnam’s nature beauty, history and culture.
