Women reveal their top weekend getaways in time for Women’s Day
If you are having a hard time thinking of an ideal gift for the women in your life this Women’s Day (20 October), findings from Agoda’s recent survey may just help you to find the solution.
In the survey, which asked where in Vietnam women would most like to go for a surprise weekend getaway, Danang and Hoi An, topped the bill overall, while Dalat with its fresh mountain air and French-colonial influence was the top choice by Gen Z women and those from Ho Chi Minh.
Joining Danang and Hoi An in the top five favorite getaway destinations were Dalat, Sapa, Ha Long Bay and Nha Trang.
Top ideas for the top three destinations
Drawn by the mix of beach, the sunny climate, especially at this time of year, and the amazing cultural attractions of the Old Town, the central towns of Danang and Hoi An secured the top spot overall. Whether the women in your life like to sample fine central Vietnamese cuisine, be pampered at a spa, shop for custom made clothes or enjoy a traditional welcome in a colonial style hotel, this area has so much to explore on a surprise getaway.
