Leading international fitness chain Jetts 24 Hour Fitness today declared its first Vietnam center open for business in Ho Chi Minh City. The center, which spans six-floors conveniently located the city’s central District 1, is the first international fitness brand to enter the market with a 24-7, we-never-close model.
Boasting international standard Matrix equipment throughout, the new brand has set itself the ambitious goal of opening 12 clubs within Ho Chi Minh City in the first year, and targets to have 24 nationwide within two years.
“Our ambitious rollout plan indicates the faith we have in the growth of Vietnam’s fitness industry and the opportunities we see for an all-new product for this market,” said Jetts 24 Hour Fitness Vietnam Managing Director Mr. Derrick Fort, highlighting Ho Chi Minh City’s Districts 2, 3, 5 and Tan Binh as areas the group has earmarked for clubs in the near future.
“Vietnam’s rapidly growing middle class, its increasingly flexible working hours and the way in which its millennial generation are shaping its future makes this the time for Jetts – a center offering everything you need, whenever you need it.”
“We have developed a flexible, affordable, dues-based, consistent pricing model for Jetts members,” Mr. Fort continued. “Ultimately we are targeting young Vietnamese professionals, inviting them to become Jetts Ninjas and offering them the chance to workout whenever they want, wherever they want, in an international standard gym at a price they can easily afford.”
“WIth these professionals in mind, the Jetts crew have developed a full and comprehensive app that includes class schedules, fitness trackers, and community collaboration to help motivate members to keep coming back and keep setting new goals and new personal records,” Mr. Fort went on. “The app further allows members to book PT sessions and choose the right PT at the right time for their fitness goals.”
Workout space at the club sees the first and second floors hosting cardio equipment, weight training zones fill levels 3 and 4. Jett’s famous J-Series classes will be held on level 5, while level 6 will offer a range of yoga and J-Classes that include everything from Bums-N-Tums core workouts, to Sexy Dance classes to Body Combat courses to get Jettsetting Ninjas fighting fit!
“We are particularly excited to bring J-Series to Vietnam,” Mr. Fort continued. “These High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) 30 minute sessions bring massive amounts of energy, increase endurance, and burn fat fast.” J-series classes combine music, technology, dedicated trainers and on-screen in class guides for a workout that Vietnamese fitness fans have never seen before.
The 600 square meter facility sits on the roundabout corner of Cong Quynh and Nguyen Trai Streets, with Vietnam being the latest expansion for the 13-year old Australian chain. Founded in 2007, Jetts presently is Australia’s largest fitness group, operating over 187 clubs in the country. Beyond its home borders, Jetts also operates in New Zealand, Thailand, England, the Netherlands. All told, over 300 clubs worldwide fly under the Jetts banner – and Vietnamese members have access to all of them, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The opening sees Jetts become the first international brand in Vietnam to operate 24 hours a day, with a reception counter attended between 8 am and 10 pm, and with smart-card entry and round-the-clock security and surveillance equipment including emergency buttons ensuring the safety and security of members outside of these hours.
Predicting that Jetts will change the way Vietnam exercises, Mr. Fort went on to say that he was sure the brand would become a household name among busy people in the fast-growing nation, and help to bring people together to maintain both regular workouts and social connections with their gym-going peers.
“This is why we are introducing Jetts Community here, which supports our Jetts Ninjas throughout their workouts and helps them reframe their workouts from something they feel like they ‘have to do’ to something they cannot wait to embrace as part of a positive change to their lifestyles.”
Between now and 29 February customers have the opportunity to join Jetts at a special early-bird rate of 599,000 VND per month.
