Redmi 8A builds upon a bestselling formula with a large 5000mAh battery and 18W fast charging support
Ho Chi Minh City, Oct 21st, 2019 – Global technology leader Xiaomi today extended the bestseller Redmi series with the all new and upgraded Redmi 8A smartphone with improvements on all fronts. Redmi 8A ship with a massive 5000mAh battery, allowing users long hours of usage with every single charge. Xiaomi has once again set the standard for better customer experience by introducing USB Type-C 18W fast charging support for the first time in this price segment.
With a 6.22-inch (15.8cm) HD+ Dot Drop display, Redmi 8A features an aspect ratio of 19:9, promising an immersive experience and overall ergonomics. The Aura Wave Grip design extends the ergonomics of the phone to the outside of the body, with fine, textured patterns that make it extremely easy to grip the phone while at the same time reducing fingerprint residues to a minimum.
With the aforementioned 5000mAh high-capacity two-day battery, Redmi 8A comes with support for 18W fast charging support on the Type-C port (10W fast charger inside the box). Redmi 8A is powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 439 octa-core chipset and 2GB+32GB memory and storage, featuring a 2+1 dual SIM slot with dedicated microSD card support that allows further storage expansion up to 512GB.
Redmi 8A features a 12MP camera, perfect for day-to-day snapshots. On its front, the device sports an 8MP selfie camera and both the front and rear cameras are capable of taking AI Portrait mode shots.
Xiaomi’s relentless focus on quality means that Redmi 8A comes protected with Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5, while its nano-coating makes the smartphone splash resistant. Redmi 8A also retains the popular feature which allows users to playback FM radio without the need of connecting their earphones.
