XIAOMI SETS NEW SELFIE RECORD WITH REDMI NOTE 6 PRO

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, 13 October 2018 – Global technology leader Xiaomi today set a Vietnam Record for the most selfies taken in three minutes.   Mi Fans and Youtube star Ribi Sachi of FAP TV teamed up to shoot 133 selfies using the amazing new four camera Redmi Note 6 Pro.

With over 200 Mi Fans queued up at the Cantavil Mi Store in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 2, the event set its sights on the standing record of 168 selfies achieved on a cruise ship earlier this year. The event, which was presided over by Guinness Vietnam judge, Dr. Nguyen Van Vien – Vice President of Vietnam Record Association, Director of Vietnam Intellectual Property Research Institute, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Ngoc – Manager of Editing Department of Vietnam Book of Records and Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuong Van – Manager of International Relation Department of Vietnam Book of Records, ultimately fell short of the global record, but set a new local record instead.

Speaking after the record setting attempt, Xiaomi’s Representative said: “Wow! What an incredible effort we have just witnessed, combining both the power of the Redmi Note 6 Pro with the passion of our Mi Fans to set this record!  Thank you to everyone who came out today and long may this record stand!”

Mi Fans were on hand not just for the chance for a quick ‘snap with a starlet’ but also to see in the debut of the quad-cam Redmi Note 6 Pro and to see the cameras powerful imaging prowess and processing power first hand as it shot hundreds of selfies in just a matter of seconds.
