THE GRAND INKS M.O.U WITH LOCAL PUBLIC SECURITY DEPARTMENT
Ho Tram, 1 October 2016: The Grand Ho Tram Strip and the Public Security Department of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province today signed a memorandum of understanding that will see the two parties tighten and smoothen a working relationship for the security of all guests and tourists.
In a signing ceremony held at The Grand, both parties committed to work more closely together, with the Province’s PA81 division becoming a single point of communications for The Grand’s team on all matters pertaining to security.
“We have a long and successful working relationship with the Public Security Department,” remarked Mr. Giang Truong Thu – Senior Security Manager of The Grand Ho Tram Strip. “Our memorandum of understanding today includes a 12 point plan that will assist us to make our security operations more streamlined and efficient, ultimately meaning that we are able to offer a better experience for guests to our casino and to our resort.”
The 12 Articles of the MOU outline roles, responsibilities and obligations for both parties, with The Grand Ho Tram Strip agreeing to continuing to strictly implement governmental regulations for all of its business activities and agreeing to liaise closely with PA81 on any issues which may arise. Meanwhile, Ba Ria – Vung Tau’s Public Security Department will work hand in hand with the resort to provide information on safety, operational guidelines, and to investigate any legal issues that may arise to ensure that The Grand remains Vietnam’s favorite getaway for guests from near and far.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Minh – Manager of PA81 remarked that: “The Grand Ho Tram Strip is the largest tourism project in Vietnam, led by a large developer which has changed the face of the tourism industry in our province and in our nation. Ba Ria – Vung Tau is committed to making our province the perfect home for this development and ensure that it has a smooth relationship with PA81 and other regulatory bodies here. We see The Grand Ho Tram Strip as a pioneer which can spur further development in tourism for our province, and we consider this MOU a good pilot for future collaboration in this province and around Vietnam between Public Security and private developers.”
Mr. Thu agreed, adding: “This MOU places us ahead of the curve for the security and protection of our guests and especially for players in our ever-growing casino. It provides a platform for smooth liaison and mechanisms to ensure that we are always able to rapidly report any form of nefarious activity. As Vietnam works on developing the legal framework of its gaming industry, such cooperation is integral to ensuring that The Grand leads the country in providing a safe, compliant, and international standard environment for players.”
The Grand Ho Tram Strip is Vietnam’s first truly integrated resort. Located less than two hours from Ho Chi Minh City, its first phase includes 541 five-star rooms, the nation’s first international standard casino led by world class industry veterans, and a wide array of other entertainment amenities ranging from retail to cinemas. Future phases of the resort will see it add an additional 559 rooms in a second tower – dubbed The Beach Club. The Ho Tram Strip’s accompanying golf course – The Bluffs – is the most decorated course in Vietnam’s history, winning a host of awards and recently becoming first course in the country to ever make Golf Digest’s Top 100 list for courses around the world. It played host to the Ho Tram Open in December 2015, which was the richest sporting event in Vietnam’s history and was broadcast to over 400 million households worldwide. Future developments will see the complex add a 1000-key condotel, 60 golf course villas, and the company is currently considering the development of a private charter airport to service guests of The Grand. Developed by the Ho Tram Project Company, the Ho Tram Strip is the largest foreign invested tourism development ever undertaken in Vietnam, with over US$1 billion in deployed and committed capital to date.
