Ergonomically-designed for a secure grip, the Canon PowerShot SX730 HS makes a perfect selfie shooter with a tilt-type screen and high zoom capabilities

HO CHI MINH CITY, 03 May 2017– Canon today announced the launch of the new PowerShot SX730 HS high-zoom compact camera. This pocket-sized addition provides high quality imaging and encompasses a high-sensitivity 20.3 megapixels CMOS sensor, up to 40x optical zoom, 180-degrees tilting LCD screen and advanced features such as Smooth Skin mode for enhancing self-portraits.

Bridging Distances with Powerful 40x zoom

For users who are accustomed to the portability of small cameras and desire high zoom capabilities, the PowerShot SX730 HS offers the best of both worlds. Weighing a mere 300 grams, the PowerShot SX730 HS has far-reaching goals. With a high zoom capability of up to 40x which can be doubled to 80x zoom with Canon Zoomplus technology, the PowerShot SX730 HS is capable of capturing stunning details of distant subjects such as wildlife and concert performances.

The PowerShot SX730 HS is also equipped with the Zoom Framing Assist feature which ensures that users enjoy the fun of photography without worrying about losing track of their subjects. Should the subject move out of frame while user is shooting, Zoom Framing Assist feature can be activated with a push of the button, to zoom out and quickly locate the subject, keeping it in frame. In addition, the Auto Zoom feature also enhances framing precision to help users achieve well-framed shots without complication. In essence, the function will enable the camera to adjust the zoom factor automatically, to maintain the optimum framing based on users’ desired setting.

Perfecting Portraiture Techniques with the new Smooth Skin mode

Taking creative shots and finding the best angles for self-portraits can now be a breeze with the PowerShot SX730 HS’s tilting LCD screen, which flips up to 180 degrees upward and downward. With three levels of effects to choose from via the Smooth Skin mode, users may bypass the reliance on filters to look their best. Coupled with the option to blur the background, depth of field can be achieved for beautiful portraits. The Smooth Skin mode is available in both the Self-Portrait mode and Regular mode. Along with a built-in Stabilization mode that suppresses camera shakes, sharp and high quality shots can be ensured.

Easy connectivity and instant sharing

The PowerShot SX730 HS is also equipped with a host of connectivity features. With Wi-Fi and NFC (Near Field Communications) capabilities, users can easily establish a connection between the camera and their smartphones for photos and videos transfer, wireless printing, uploading onto social media and to use their smartphones for remote shooting via the Canon Camera Connect app. Additionally, with the built-in Bluetooth low energy technology, it allows user to switch to Wi-fi connection easily to transfer or view images on the go.
